What If You Stopped Going to War With Yourself?
Another Possibility
Most of us were taught to meet the hard parts of our inner life by trying to fix them, suppress them, overcome them, control them, analyze them away — or judge ourselves for having them at all.
What if the part of you that is struggling doesn’t need another adversary?
Befriending Bravely explores a different move: turning toward what’s happening inside us with curiosity, compassion, courage, and enough space to discover what it might actually be trying to communicate or accomplish.
Befriending doesn’t mean liking every feeling, agreeing with every thought, indulging every impulse, or pretending pain is pleasant. It means changing your relationship to your experience — so you can respond with awareness and choice instead of automatically going to war with yourself.
Inner friendship is not something you finish.
It’s a relationship you practice.
75 Minutes to Practice a Different Relationship With Yourself
Befriending Bravely is a live, 75-minute experiential workshop held once a month. Each month explores a different corner of our inner life, but the rhythm stays familiar — and it’s not a lecture. Less time talking about inner friendship. More time actually practicing it.
Land & Settle
A gentle few minutes to arrive, settle your system, and meet the theme we’re exploring this month.
A Short Teaching
One concise, practical framework for the month’s topic — just enough to guide the practice, never an extended lecture.
Guided Practice
The center of gravity. You’re guided through an extended experiential practice — so you don’t just learn about befriending yourself, you spend real time doing it.
Let It Settle
Time to notice what shifted, listen for what remains, and let the experience settle — without forcing any particular outcome.
Throughout, you stay in charge of your own experience. Go all in, soften a practice, pause, or simply observe — camera on or off. This is an invitation, never a demand.
Every registration includes 30 days of replay access — so you can join live, revisit the practice afterward, or take part through the replay if you can’t make it in real time.
Befriending Your Emotions
Most of us learned to treat emotions as problems to solve. Some feelings get labeled “good.” Others get treated as inconvenient, irrational, too much, embarrassing, even dangerous — or something we should have gotten over by now.
So we try to calm them down, think our way out of them, suppress them, explain them, distract ourselves — or quietly judge ourselves for having them at all.
But emotions aren’t asking to be eliminated. They are carrying information, protection, longing, grief, energy, boundaries, needs — something that simply wants to be understood.
What changes when we stop asking, “How do I get rid of this feeling?” and start asking, “What is this feeling trying to tell me?”

You Don’t Have to Be Less Emotional. You Can Learn a Different Way to Be With Emotion.
The goal isn’t to control what you feel. It’s to become more capable of meeting what you feel.
Emotions as Information
Get curious about what a feeling may be communicating instead of rushing to make it disappear.
Making Room for Feeling
Practice staying present with emotion without becoming overwhelmed by it or shutting it down.
The Parts Around the Emotion
Notice the protective voices that say, “I shouldn’t feel this,” “This is too much,” or “I need to get over this.”
Listening Without Obeying
Learn to hear what an emotion is saying without handing it the steering wheel.
Experiential Practice
Most of our time is spent practicing, not talking about emotion. Depending on the theme and the room, we may draw from The S.H.I.F.T. Model™, tapping, parts work, nervous-system regulation, visualization, and reflection.
Different Theme. Same Practice.
Inner friendship isn’t one skill for one problem. We’re in relationship with every part of our inner world — and each one is a place to practice the same deeper move.
The monthly themes change. The deeper practice stays the same: turning toward ourselves rather than turning against ourselves.
And this is an ongoing practice whether you do it here, somewhere else, or entirely in your own way. Befriending Bravely simply offers a recurring place to return to it — in community.
Inner friendship isn’t something you finish — it’s the relationship you keep practicing.
There Is Always Another Part of You Worth Befriending
These are examples of the inner relationships we may explore in future months — not a fixed schedule. Each one is another place to practice the same deeper move: turning toward ourselves instead of turning against ourselves.
Themes rotate over time and may change — what stays the same is the practice underneath them.

Every option is a real way to take part — come once, keep returning, or settle in for a year. There’s no wrong door.
Because Practice Changes More Than Insight
Befriending yourself is easy to understand and hard to do consistently. The real value of monthly isn’t the $22 savings each month — it’s the continuity. A place to keep returning.
A Place to Return
Somewhere already on the calendar, waiting for you — no need to reinvent the intention each time.
Regular Contact With the Practice
Small, steady reps with the work do more than one big insight that fades by Friday.
A New Corner Each Month
Another area of inner life to explore, so the practice keeps deepening instead of repeating.
A Rhythm of Reflection
A gentle monthly cadence that makes turning toward yourself a habit rather than an emergency measure.
Community, No Long Program
Practice alongside others without signing up for a lengthy, locked-in course.
Permission to Keep Going
You never have to “finish” yourself. Monthly is simply making befriending yourself a practice.
And to be clear: you can do this work here, somewhere else, or entirely on your own. Befriending Bravely is one recurring container for the practice — not the only valid place to practice it.
Give the Practice a Year
You’re not committing to becoming a different person in a year. You’re giving yourself a year to practice relating differently to the person you already are.
A full year builds the rhythm in for you — fewer monthly decisions, room to meet many different parts of your inner life over time, and the strongest overall rate.

A Practice Built From More Than One Lens
Befriending Bravely weaves together several established experiential approaches into one coherent practice. Not every tool shows up every month — what stays constant is the through-line: helping you change the relationship you have with what’s happening inside you.
What Is The S.H.I.F.T. Model™?
The S.H.I.F.T. Model™ is the integrative experiential framework that guides much of the work — a structured way of helping you slow down, notice what’s present, relate differently to your inner experience, and make room for a more grounded response.

Good Things to Know Before You Join
Is Befriending Bravely therapy?
Befriending Bravely is not designed as crisis support or intensive trauma treatment. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, please use appropriate emergency or crisis resources instead of relying on this workshop.
What if I’m not good at “feeling my feelings”?
Will I have to share personal things with the group?
What if I’ve tried self-help, therapy, meditation, or nervous-system work before?
What if a practice brings up more emotion than I want to deal with?
Should I join for one workshop or choose the monthly option?
What might change if I practice this regularly?
What if I still have questions before I join?
A Different Relationship With Yourself Can Start Here
You’re going to spend the rest of your life in relationship with yourself. It may be worth learning how to make that relationship a little friendlier.
You don’t need to master every emotion, silence every thought, heal every part, or become endlessly regulated. You can begin by practicing something simpler — meeting more of yourself with curiosity, courage, and care.
That’s what Befriending Bravely is for.
Inner friendship isn’t something you finish — it’s something you practice.
