Brian HoganBrian’s Story
Growing up gay and closeted in the 80’s and 90’s, Brian internalized the idea that at a deep level he did not belong. Society said so, culture said so, and sometimes mean kids at school said so too.
Seeking refuge in the church of all places, he simultaneously found a kind of acceptance from others as he rejected himself more deeply. He decided he’d earn his way into heaven for good behavior, embarking on a missionary journey visiting over thirty countries on four continents.
Tiring of the secrecy and seeking something more, he swung from the conservative world of evangelical Christianity to the liberal world of Oberlin College, where he began to embrace who he truly was.
Years later as an entrepreneur in California, Brian battled imposter syndrome, negative self-talk, and addiction before finally learning how to surrender to the tug of his heart and the inner wisdom that lies dormant in all of us. Today he’s passionate about helping others find and trust their own inner wisdom.
We’re living in an era where the old ways of coping and leading aren’t working anymore. People are exhausted, distracted, and running on emotional fumes, but they’re still expected to produce brilliance on demand. This work is about helping humans come back online—so resilience, innovation, and real connection stop being buzzwords and start becoming lived experience.
